A Monster

I, a monster among the ants. Dreaming in the field. I will wait. My arms are too long. I

am on the Earth that holds creatures that look nothing like me. I have been taught to contort my

body to blend in with the others. My legs are sharp, there are multiple. I crawl across the ground

like spiders seen in this world. I am a monster.

I try to peer down a doorway without being noticed. My body, overgrown. The many

eyes in a room all pierce me. A human weapon is the stare and I feel this immensely. Here in this

field there is no one to witness my discomfort.
